Community

As a Church, we want to help the community around us and demonstrate God's love. Throughout the week, we have clubs where we seek to make a real difference in people's lives. From the Boys' and Girls' Brigades to our friendly lunch club and Friday focus. To find out how you can get involved, use the contact form on this page, call us or send an email.

Boys Brigade

Boys Brigade

Re-formed in 2012, 5th Larbert Boys Brigade is a joint company supported by both Larbert Baptist Church and Larbert Grace Church. The company welcomes all boys from all backgrounds, with a real focus on the object of the Boys Brigade - advancing Christ's Kingdom among boys and the promotion of habits of obedience, reverence, discipline and self-respect and all that tends towards a true Christian manliness. In addition to working towards their Presidents and Queens badges, boys can attend the annual camp; and we participate in local battalion competitions ranging from football to chess. We meet each Friday during the school term:

Anchor Boys P2-P3
Larbert Baptist Church 7.pm -8.15pm.
Junior Section P4 - P6
Larbert Village School 7pm - 8.30pm.
Company Section P7 - S6
Larbert Village School 7pm - 9pm.

Girls Brigade

Girls Brigade

2nd Larbert Girls' Brigade Company offer a safe place for girls and young women to meet. A place for fun, learning and challenge. A place for personal development and a place where every girl is valued irrespective of her background.

All sections follow a balanced, age appropriate programme offering educational, service, spiritual and physical elements.

Lunch Club

Lunch Club

Every Tuesday during school term, from 11am to 2.30pm, we bring people together to enjoy a hot nutricious meal and socialise with friends at the same time. We are here for people of all faiths or none.

We serve a quality 2 course lunch followed by biscuits and cheese or cake. Enjoying each other's company, we have a laugh as we play games such as skittles, carpet bowls and do our best with Myra's tough quizzes!

There are gentle chair exercises to keep us fit, and music and singing as we enjoy the our favourite songs. We've still to find a song that Norman can't play. Larbert Village School pupils entertain us 3 times a year and cheer us with their songs as only they can. We close with a “Thought for the Day” and prayer.

To book a place and order your meal contact MYRA STEVENSON at 01324 840468 or 07773288920, or use the form on this page.

Friday Focus

Friday Focus

Friday Focus is a group of carers that include mums, grans and others, and their children aged 0-5 years. We meet together every Friday during term time for play, support, friendship and sometimes home baking.

Most weeks consist of free play, craft, snack and song time. At special occasions we hold a party to celebrate. There is no cost, just a donation and no rotas to stress you out. All carers and children are very welcome.
